Job Description
The Float Pool Registered Nurse will work across various inpatient units based on competency levels, including ICU, Step-down, and Medical/Surgical units. The role demands adaptability to different environments, patient ratios, and specific medical needs, offering a diverse opportunity for nursing professionals.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care in various inpatient settings as assigned.
- Participate in managing cardiac, orthopedic/neuro, and surgical patients.
- Titrate medications in step-down areas as required.
- Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors for optimal patient outcomes.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, with support from monitor techs.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).
- Med/Surg background; Step-down experience preferred.
- Ability to manage and titrate drips such as Heparin, Cardizem, and insulin.
