Pay Details:
Weekly Gross: $2,809/Week
Brekdown:
W2: $25.15/Hr.
OT: $39/Hr.
Weekly Stipend: $1,491/Week
Description:
MUST BE FLEXIBLE WITH WEEKEND REQUIREMENTS, WEEKEND REQUIREMENT WILL BE BASED ON UNIT NEEDS. TRAVELERS MUST BE ABLE TO WORK 50% OF THE WEEKENDS IN THEIR CONTRACT.
REFUSAL TO FLOAT MAY END IN TERMINATION OF CONTRACT
IU Health University and Methodist are teaching facilities and require all travel nurses to agree to the possibility of precepting and/or being assigned students to shadow them while on assignment. Please only submit candidates that are okay with these requirements.

*** Call-Ins: If a traveler call-ins for a contracted shift, the traveler is expected to 1) make up the day during the pay period, if a 0.9 FTE. OR 2) if a 0.9 FTE and unable to make up during the pay period, then the shift will be added at the end of the traveler contract 3) If a 1.2 FTE, any call-in shifts will be added to the end of the contract
*** Charge coverage: Pending operational needs, unit charge nurse responsibilities may be needed with provided training and resources.
Certification Requirements: BCLS; ACLS Preferred
Skillset Requirements: Cardiac PCU, Drips, Post Cath Lab, IV Starts, and Sheath Pulls
Skillset Preferences: Conscious Sedation and Telemetry, 2 years of nursing experience required.
Floating Requirements: Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care (Med-Surg, PCU, ICU) with resources provided if needed at both University and Methodist Hospitals
Staffing Ratios: 1:4
Unit Information: IU Methodist’s A5East is a progressive care unit that focuses on the close monitoring of patients with cardiovascular diagnoses including, congestive heart failure, post- myocardial infarction, pulmonary hypertension, cardiac arrhythmias, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congenital heart defects, and infective endocarditis along with a multitude of other co-morbidities.. We care for patient post-cath lab procedures, prior to LVAD placements or heart/lung transplants and pre- valve replace
