Position: Registered Staff Nurse (RN)
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Staff Nurse (RN) to provide holistic care to patients and their families. The RN will focus on independent, collaborative, and delegated nursing functions as detailed in the nursing standards and competencies specific to the assigned service area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care throughout the life cycle, addressing the needs of neonates, infants, children, young adults, adults, and older adults.
- Execute nursing practices by conducting thorough assessments, establishing nursing diagnoses, identifying outcomes, planning, implementing, and evaluating care.
- Develop and revise patient care plans while coordinating care among multidisciplinary teams.
- Delegate appropriate activities to other healthcare providers, ensuring high standards of patient care.
- Participate actively in shared accountability and decision-making for nursing practices.
- Implement personal leadership qualities and skills to define, execute, and enhance practice standards, positively impacting the care environment.
Schedule:
Varied shifts available including 8 or 12-hour shifts with start times at 7 AM, 11 AM, or 3 PM. There is a guarantee of 36 hours per week. Weekend shifts may be required every other or every third weekend.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience.
- Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
- Certifications in Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC).
- Experience working in a Trauma Level I facility.
- Experience with pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Familiarity with the Epic electronic medical record system.
- Ability to interpret cardiac rhythms effectively.
