Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position requiring a GA or compact license and weekend shifts.
Responsibilities
- Work in a hospital Medical Surgical unit
- Day shift schedule, 3x12 hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
- Every other weekend required
- Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed
- No on-call responsibilities
- Expected to work major holidays as assigned based on length of assignment
- Maximum of 7 days of time off allowed, with no requested time off during the first week
- Orientation hours are determined by contract length
- Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
- Travel pairs are not permitted to be scheduled on the same unit and shift
- No blocked scheduling is offered
- First time travelers are welcome to apply
- Return travelers must successfully complete an assignment outside of Piedmont if deemed unable to return to one facility
Requirements
- Active GA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years Med/Surg nursing experience required
- Two supervisory references required for consideration
- Must be fully compliant prior to start to ensure timely onboarding
- Perm/PRN staff must be away from all Piedmont facilities for 1 full year before returning as a traveler
