Job Details:
• Work 3x12 hour rotating day/night shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Required certifications: BLS and NIHSS
• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms
• Patient ratio of 5-6 patients on days, nights, and weekends
• Float assignment required
• Every other weekend required
• Previous charge experience preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting system required
• 36 hours of orientation provided
• Care for adult and geriatric patients
• 30-bed unit with daily census of 28 patients
• Must be comfortable with cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV protocols, blood product administration, central line care, wound care, and various medical procedures
• Interdisciplinary support includes IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
• Must have either compact license or MD license at time of submission
• Two supervisor references required
