Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Medical Surgical ICU night shift position requiring Epic experience and a TX or compact license.
Responsibilities
- Work in a Medical Surgical ICU within a hospital setting
- Night shifts, 3x12 hours (19:00–07:00)
- Patient ratio is 1:2 with a total of 12 rooms in the unit
- Floating required to units of equal or lesser acuity
- Weekend coverage required for 6 shifts per 6-week schedule
- Epic charting system used and experience is required
- Primary responsibilities include providing care to critically ill medical surgical patients
- No travel pairs or groups accepted for this assignment
- No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved; no time off allowed during the first week of orientation
Requirements
- Active TX or compact RN license required
- Minimum of 2 years ICU experience required
- Previous travel RN experience required
- Current certifications: BLS and ACLS
- Epic charting experience required
- Level I Trauma experience preferred
- Former perm staff must have at least 1 year separation before returning as a traveler
- Candidates residing within 50 miles or in specified counties are not eligible
