Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience and a WI state license for orthopedic and diverse outpatient cases.
Responsibilities
- Work in an outpatient clinic primarily serving orthopedic patients, with occasional inpatient consultations
- Patient population ranges from age 10 to geriatric with a variety of diagnoses, including post-surgical rehab (TKA, THA, abdominal surgery) and generalized weakness
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM (5x8 hours)
- Use of Epic for charting is required
- No floating outside outpatient scope
- Block scheduling may be accommodated at manager's discretion
- Main responsibilities include evaluation and treatment of outpatient orthopedic and mixed-diagnosis patients
- Occasional inpatient consults as needed for post-operative and general weakness cases
- Scrubs in Caribbean Blue required
- All travelers must comply with respiratory fit testing policies
- RTO (Requested Time Off) should be communicated up front
- Travelers may be asked to cover holidays and participate in weekend rotation if needed
- First-time travelers are welcome
- Travelers must reside at least 70 miles away; no local travelers accepted
Requirements
- Current WI state license and BLS certification required (license required if applicable)
- Minimum of 1 year physical therapy experience
- Experience with orthopedic, geriatric, neurology, and sports medicine patients preferred
- Must be clean-shaven for mask fit testing; PAPRs and CAPRs are not permitted
- Pending license considered at manager's discretion
- Two recent professional references from supervisors within the past 2 years required
