Radiologic Technologist Job Details – Rochester, NY

- Employment Type: Travel Contract (Healthcare Job)
- Setting: Hospital – Interventional Radiology, Neurosurgery/Neuroscience Unit
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- End Date: May 16, 2026
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks
- Hours per Week: 40
- Shift: 4x10 hour days (Day Shift)
- On Call: 1-2 times per week and 1-2 weekends per month (as needed)
- Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (Upstate New York healthcare jobs)
Radiologic Technologist Qualifications
- Active Radiologic Technologist license in the state of New York
- ARRT certification required
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital or clinical setting
- Experience in Neurosurgery/Neuroscience required
- Interventional Radiology experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality radiologic imaging for interventional neuro radiology procedures
- Position patients and select appropriate exposure factors for optimal diagnostic results
- Prepare and instruct patients for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams; assist radiologists during procedures
- Administer oral contrast as needed per exam
- Operate x-ray equipment, CR, and DR systems proficiently
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist with department tasks, including stocking and patient transport
- Maintain medication security and ensure patient confidentiality at all times
- Utilize Hospital Information System (HIS), Radiology Information System (RIS), and PACS
- Participate in hospital performance improvement and quality assurance activities
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills
- Respond to technical inquiries from physicians and hospital staff
