Labor & Delivery RN – Travel Contract

Unit: Labor & Delivery
Schedule: 12-hour Day Shifts |
On-Call: Up to 24 hours every 6 weeks
Contract Type: Travel (No local travelers within 50 miles)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse to support a high-acuity L&D unit. This role requires strong clinical judgment, hands-on delivery experience, and comfort working with complex obstetric patients.

Requirements

Experience:
- Minimum 1–2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Must include antepartum, intrapartum, cesarean sections, postpartum, and magnesium sulfate administration
- Hospital experience required
Preferred Experience:
- EPIC charting
- Perinatal Centricity (QS)
- Ability to scrub/assist in deliveries
Certifications (Required):
- BLS
- ACLS
- NRP
- Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM)
Dysrhythmia Exam: Not required

Clinical Skills

Fetal heart monitoring
OR support
Cardiac monitoring
Infant warmers
Blood glucose monitoring

Unit Details

Beds: 12
Patient Population: High acuity; includes language barriers, substance abuse, and chronic conditions affecting pregnancy
Equipment: GE monitors, pulse oximetry, blood glucose monitoring, infant warmers
Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:1–2 (based on staffing needs)
