This position requires basic knowledge of neonatal care and the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for maternity patients. Responsibilities include providing skilled nursing care per physician orders and nursing standards, administering medications and treatments, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms and call lights, evaluating and updating care plans with the healthcare team, accurately processing provider orders, and following up on medication changes or clarifications in a timely manner.
