Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, TNCC; PALS preferred
Trauma/Stroke/ STEMI: Trauma Level IV, STEMI Receiving, Stroke Designation
Beds/Trauma Bays: 4 beds, 2 trauma bays
Fast Track: No
Triage: No separate area; travelers not required for triage
ER Holds: Intermixed within ER
Psych/Seclusion Rooms: Yes
Security: Not 24/7
Average ER Volume: 10 patients/day
Experience Required: 2+ years ER + prior MedSurg experience
Physician Coverage: ED physician
Charge Nurse: Yes, takes patients
Support Staff: On call nurse aids/EMTs
RT Coverage: Not 24/7; RN troubleshoots vents, CPAP, BiPAP
Tele/Monitor Techs: No; RNs read strips (Mindray monitors)
Imaging: X-Ray or CT via transport
Lab Draws: Performed by lab staff
Shifts: 12-hour day/night rotation (7a-7p / 7p-7a), block scheduling considered
Weekend: Every other week
Holidays: If in blocked schedule
Call/Standby: No
Floating: Med/Surg & Swing Bed (same unit)
Scrubs: Navy blue
Orientation: Unit-specific, 12-hour shifts
Radius Rule: 50 miles; no employment with CommonSpirit facilities in the past year
RTO: Must be noted at submission; no additional requests approved
