Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care. This role involves planning, implementing, and documenting nursing care based on patient needs while identifying priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate individualized plans of care for assigned patients.
- Initiate assessments based on patients' problems, medical diagnoses, and functional health frameworks.
- Perform therapeutic nursing interventions and manage patient care.
- Document care based on standards, patient acuity, and clinical priorities.
- Advocate for evidence-based practice care standards.
- Provide patient-centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice models.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in acute adult oncology, specializing in leukemia and lymphoma.
- ASN required; BSN preferred.
- BLS - AHA certification required.
- New Jersey State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license is required.
- Chemotherapy Certification with ONS preferred.
