Job Description
Functioning within the health system's mission, vision, and values, the Registered Nurse assumes responsibility and accountability for the care of assigned patients during their shift. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using age-specific criteria while making judgments based on scientific knowledge and clinical skills. The RN will also assist in planning, directing, and teaching non-RN staff such as LPNs, PCTs, and Unit Secretaries.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
- Provide direction and support to non-RN staff.
- Demonstrate flexibility in work schedule changes.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2+ years of OB experience - required.
- Completion of 1 travel assignment - required.
- Ability to function as a first assist and scrub in OB - highly preferred.
- Active Ohio or Compact RN license - required.
- Current skills checklist pertinent to the specialty (OBGYN) - required.
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification - required.
- Active American Heart Association ACLS certification - required.
- Active Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification - required.
- Active S.T.A.B.L.E. certification - required.
- Active Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification - required.
