Unit Details:
High Acuity Surgery Trauma Floor
This fast-paced, high-acuity Med/Surg unit specializes in complex surgical and trauma patients, including:
Spinal and Neuro Trauma
Gunshot Wounds
Quadriplegic & Paraplegic Patients
Complex Surgical Cases
Patient Ratio: 5:1
Unit Support Includes:
Nursing Support Technicians
Phlebotomists
Unit Secretary (night shift)
ED nurse and admitting unit complete full nurse-to-nurse handoff
This unit requires strong critical thinking skills, time management, and the ability to care for medically complex trauma patients.
Requirements:
Active RN License
BLS (AHA) required
ACLS preferred
Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience (Trauma/Surgical preferred)
EPIC experience required
Must be willing to work assigned shifts (No block scheduling)
