Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a Cath Lab setting and possess essential certifications and skills. This position offers normal business hours with a call requirement.
Schedule
- Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday
- Call Requirement: One night a week and every fourth weekend
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in Cath Lab
- Certifications:
- ACLS (Required)
- BLS (Required)
- State License (Required)
- CCI RCIS (Preferred)
- Charting System: Experience with EPIC is Required
Patient Diagnoses
- Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI)
- ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (STEMI)
- Non-ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NSTEMI)
- Electrophysiology devices
- Heart arrhythmias
- Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD)
- Peripheral Vascular Disease (PVD)
Unit Details
- Cath Lab - Diagnostic and Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) - Level 2 lab
- Electrophysiology Lab - Device changeouts, upgrades, ICD, Pacemaker
- Vascular Angiogram
- Interventional Radiology - Simple procedures
Special Equipment
- Impella
- IABP (Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump)
- Temporary Pacemaker
- Shockwave
- DFR
- IVUS (Intravascular Ultrasound)
- FFR (Fractional Flow Reserve)
Professional Knowledge and Skills
- End-Tidal CO2 monitoring
- Sheath removal and monitoring
- Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Infection prevention
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Isolation precautions and PPE adherence
- Monitoring procedural sedation
- Pressure ulcer assessment and prevention
- Activated clotting time (ACT) management
- Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG
- Cardioversion
- Circulate procedures
Patient Ratios
Typical patient ratio during day shifts is 1:3.
Location
This position is located in a community hospital setting in a Trauma Level II facility.
