Beds: 100-bed hospital; ICU has 6 beds Trauma Level: Not specified Patient Ratios: 2:1 Population: Geriatric, adult, rarely pediatrics Shift: Flexible, includes weekends Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Call: None Float Requirements: Float to other departments when ICU census is low Required Experience & Skills: 2 years ICU experience Ventilator management (Trach, ETT) Titrating sedation (Versed, Propofol, Fentanyl) & vasopressors Cardizem & Amiodarone drips, DKA insulin drips CVP lines, Art lines (rarely) Defibrillation, med management during Code Blue Cardioversion Preferred: Critical care experience Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS Education: AS in Nursing Equipment & EMR: Phillips ICU Monitor, Meditech, Baxter IV pumps, bladder scanner Supervisor: Wenda Campbell, RN, Director of ICU Dress Code: Any solid color scrubs; no prints or hooded sweatshirts; hospital logo T-shirts allowed
