Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join an acute care Endoscopy unit. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing endoscopic procedures, including pre-operative preparation, Phase I & II recovery, and patient education. The RN will work collaboratively with physicians and the care team to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform pre-operative assessments and patient preparation
- Provide Phase I and Phase II recovery care
- Initiate and manage IV insertions
- Monitor patients post-procedure and respond to changes in condition
- Document patient care accurately in EPIC
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures and recovery
Skills:
- Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
- Phase I & Phase II recovery care
- IV insertion and venous access management
- Post-procedure monitoring and patient safety
- Endoscopy nursing care
- Patient education and discharge instructions
- Acute care nursing skills
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (required to submit)
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- BLS certification (required)
