Department: ER RN – Artesia, NM
Pre-Start Requirements:
Mandatory online modules (~20 hrs) sent from
Client allows billing for up to 6 hours of module time
Facility Details:
Community Hospital (working toward Trauma Level IV)
5 ER beds, 2 trauma bays | No fast track or ER holding area
Avg. 40–50 patients/day
High-acuity cases (oil field/mining accidents, major trauma)
Nurse ratio: 1:3
Certifications Required:
BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC, NRP, NIHSS
Experience Requirements:
5+ years ED experience
Must mix & titrate all critical drips (Amio, Cardizem, Epi, Insulin, etc.)
Strong critical thinking; able to work independently
Trauma Level 1 or 2 experience accepted
First-time travelers accepted
Support & Staffing:
1 ED physician onsite 24/7
ED Techs (CNAs) available
RT onsite days; nights covers hospital
RNs must read tele & EKGs
X-ray & CT available 24/7
Schedule:
12-hr shifts (7a–7p / 7p–7a)
Weekends: Every other
Holidays: Rotation as needed
No call | No floating
Orientation:
1–2 days with preceptor
Scrubs: Navy blue
