Unit Specifics:
- Number of Beds : 35
- Patient Ratios :5-7:1
- Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Techs per census, usually 2-4
- Type of equipment : Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCD’s, Bladder scanner
- Documentation system: Meditech
- Scheduling requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend
- Floating policy: may be floated to other Med Surg depts.
- Patient Experience requirements: Rehab experience preferred
Hiring Profile
Must have:
- Med/Surg or PCU experience
- BLS and VA License
Preferred:
Advanced skills needed: none
Procedures performed on unit: Med administration to include IV’s, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration
Dress Code:
- Navy blue or white solid scrubs
