🏥 Unit Overview – Labor & Delivery (Level II EQ, Level 1 Trauma Center)
- Beds:
- 18 LDRP rooms
- 14 OB Triage beds
- 8 Antepartum beds
- Average Deliveries:
- 8–10 per day
- 322–344 per month
- ~3,863 per year
- C-Section OR Suites: 2 fully equipped ORs
- Patient Population:
- Laboring patients
- Preterm pregnancies (28+ weeks gestation)
- Post-delivery transfer to Postpartum (PP)
🚨 MUST-HAVE Requirements
- Strong C-section experience
- Must confidently circulate & recover C-sections
- Scrubbing not required
- Computer charting experience
- Experience titrating:
- Pitocin
- Magnesium Sulfate (per protocol)

- Following AWHONN guidelines (staffing up toward standards)
- Typical Ratios:
- L&D: 2:1 (based on acuity)
- Antepartum: 4:1
- C-sections: 1:1
- 13 Charge Nurses
- No Nurse Aides
