This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
12-hour night shifts with the option to pick up extra shifts as needed. Expect to work every other weekend and participate in holiday coverage.
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Med-Surg Telemetry RN to provide high-quality patient care in a telemetry unit. This position requires a nurse with strong telemetry skills, capable of interpreting cardiac rhythms and responding appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for patients in a telemetry environment.
- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings and respond to changes in patient condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Perform procedures such as NG tube insertion and peripheral IV insertion as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience with at least 1 year in a Med-Surg Telemetry setting.
- AHA BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
- Telemetry certification is preferred.
- NIH Stroke Scale certification must be completed prior to starting.
- Experience with Epic EMR system within the last 2 years is required.
