Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 14‑week day‑shift contract beginning March 9, 2026. The Radiation Therapist will provide safe, accurate radiation treatments in compliance with National Cancer Institute regulations and facility standards.
Responsibilities
- Deliver radiation therapy treatments according to physician prescriptions
- Operate all radiotherapy equipment including:
- Co‑60
- Linear Accelerator
- Simulator
- Perform localization, simulation, and pretreatment procedures
- Take port films and radiographic images for verification
- Ensure patient safety, recognize radiation reactions, and provide instructions
- Maintain and record treatment documentation and film records
- Coordinate patient scheduling and workflow
- Maintain compliance with departmental and regulatory policies
- Participate in department education and training programs
Qualifications
- AAS or AMA‑accredited Radiation Therapy program
- Registered Radiation Therapist (RRT)
- New York State license
- 3–5 years of related experience
- Successful completion of pre‑employment health screening
- Strong knowledge of modern, high‑voltage radiation therapy equipment
