Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse for a Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) assignment, which may require floating to the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU). Candidates should have the ability to handle critical patient cases and multiple interventions.
Responsibilities
- Start IVs and manage multiple titrating drips.
- Provide critical care to patients with multi-system diseases.
- Utilize advanced techniques such as CRRT, IABP, and ECMO.
- Assist in the care of COVID-19 patients and manage ventilators.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Epic EMR system.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- AHA BLS and AHA ACLS certifications.
- NIHSS certification prior to start.
- CCRN certification preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant unit experience is required.
- Prior travel experience is necessary.
- Experience in a large teaching facility is essential.
