Med Surg RN needed in Lawton, OK for a hospital based assignment. You will care for adult patients with a mix of medical and post surgical needs, including pain control, IV therapy, wound care, telemetry monitoring when applicable, and discharge planning. Expect a steady pace, frequent admissions and discharges, and strong teamwork with providers, case management, and ancillary departments. Candidates should be comfortable prioritizing multiple patients, documenting accurately, and jumping in to support the unit when needed.
Active RN license required, plus BLS (ACLS preferred depending on unit needs)
Recent Med Surg hospital experience required
Comfortable with common Med Surg skills: IV starts, trach care, wound care, basic drips per policy, post op care, and discharge education
Floating may be required within scope and competency
Must be able to pass background, drug screen, and complete all facility compliance items on time
Travelers should be flexible with scheduling, including weekends and holidays as needed
