Opportunity:
RN - Palliative
Job Details:
• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week over 13-week contract
• Every other weekend and holiday rotation required
• Float to any inpatient unit and other Central region locations as needed
• Must be located outside 50-mile radius from facility
• Required certifications: Wisconsin RN license, AHA BLS
• Minimum 2 years medical/surgical experience required
• 1 year inpatient palliative care experience preferred
• Epic charting experience required
• Medical/surgical skill set required for caring for med/surg patients in palliative care unit
• Experience in palliative care/hospice helpful
• Work in 10-bed unit with 5:1 RN patient ratio
• Primary cases include palliative, comfort/hospice, and medical/surgical patients
• Any color scrubs permitted
• Associate degree or certificate required
• Contract eligible for 36 hours of low census unbillable hours with potential call back
• Set hours guaranteed per week except during holidays when unit is closed
Facility:
This healthcare facility operates a specialized 10-bed palliative care unit that provides compassionate end-of-life care and comfort measures for patients and their families. The unit maintains a staffing model of 2 RNs and 1 CNA per 10 patients, ensuring quality patient care with a 5:1 RN ratio. The facility utilizes Epic electronic health records and offers comprehensive inpatient services across multiple units within the central region network.
