Job Description
The MS/Tele RN will work in a combined unit that requires both Medical-Surgical and Telemetry nursing skills. Candidates should have experience managing higher acuity patients and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, dealing with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to CHF, ECOPD, NSTEMI, AFib (new onset), Arrhythmias, Sepsis, and Renal Failure/AKI.
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care in a combined MS/Tele unit.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, utilizing telemetry equipment.
- Administer medications and manage treatment plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, and Pharmacy.
- Respond to emergencies and implement rapid response protocols as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care experience required.
- Experience in a Critical Care or Progressive Care Unit is strongly preferred.
- Active RN license in the state of Maryland or Compact License.
- Current BLS, CPI, and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
