This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule
Day shifts from 06:45 AM to 05:15 PM, with some weekday and weekend on-call duties.
Job Description
The Operating Room RN First Assist will assist in surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and proper care during operations. The role requires a comprehensive understanding of surgical protocols and strong collaboration with the surgical team.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgical team during procedures in a pediatric and women's specialty setting.
- Perform circulatory and scrub roles as required.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Manage surgical instruments and supplies effectively.
- Provide care to patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.
- Active RN license in West Virginia or a compact license.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Experience in Pediatric General OR and General OR is preferred.
- Experience with robotic surgical procedures is a plus.
