Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Homebound Student Support
Position Type: Part-Time
Hours Per Week: Approximately 10 hours
Schedule:
- Hours vary slightly by day
- Student receives 1–3 hours of homebound instruction per session due to medical needs
- Schedule will be coordinated based on the student’s instructional schedule
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide medical support for a student receiving homebound instruction while accessing school virtually. The RN will monitor the student during instructional sessions and provide medical assistance as needed to ensure a safe learning environment.
An Instructional Assistant will be present to support the student’s academic access while participating in virtual learning. The RN will focus on the student’s medical monitoring and care needs during this time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor the student during virtual instructional sessions
- Assist with medication administration as needed
- Provide support for G-tube feedings
- Address any additional medical concerns that arise during instruction time
- Collaborate with the instructional assistant to support a safe learning environment
Requirements:
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
- Experience with G-tube feeding
- Ability to monitor and respond to student medical needs in a homebound setting
