Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide safe, patient-centered nursing care to individuals across the lifespan in a fast-paced acute care environment. Working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop and implement individualized plans of care, administer medications and treatments, monitor patient responses, and document all aspects of care accurately in the electronic health record. You will educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and ongoing care needs, supporting them in making informed decisions about their health. The RN will coordinate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, case managers, and support staff to ensure seamless, high-quality care and timely discharges. You will uphold rigorous infection prevention practices and patient safety standards, respond promptly to changes in patient condition, and participate in emergency interventions as needed. This position requires strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and excellent time management skills as you prioritize care for multiple patients.
