We are seeking a dedicated, holistic-minded Registered Nurse for a Medical Surgical/Telemetry contract in Lexington, KY. This role focuses on delivering safe, evidence-based, patient- and family-centered care utilizing a comprehensive nursing process.

Responsibilities
- Holistic Assessment: Perform and document comprehensive clinical assessments considering patient culture, age, developmental level, and risk factors.
- Care Coordination: Fully implement patient therapies with high clinical autonomy, expanding care coordination from admission through a timely discharge process.
- Telemetry & Monitoring: Monitor and recognize acute changes in patient conditions, executing appropriate protocols and interdisciplinary communication.
- Delegation & Leadership: Safely delegate and monitor tasks assigned to assistive personnel (CNAs/Techs) while supporting positive unit dynamics.
- Quality Improvement: Active involvement in unit-based goals, focusing on patient satisfaction and safety metrics (e.g., fall prevention, CAUTIs, pressure ulcers).
Experience: No minimum experience required! Open to first-time travel nurses (previous acute care or telemetry experience is highly preferred). - Licensure: Active, unrestricted Kentucky State RN License or valid Compact/Multistate RN License in hand.
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS certification.
- Education: Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN or ASN). BSN is preferred.
- Tech Skills: Strong technical proficiency with computer systems/EMR charting (or high trainability).
