Job Summary:
Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery (L&D) located in Austin, Texas. This position involves providing specialized nursing care in a Level IV Maternal Designation facility with a high-volume delivery service. Candidates are required to bring their Texas nursing license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Austin, Texas
- Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) from the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Advanced Life Support (ALS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross. Education requirements include an Associates Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution, a valid Texas nursing license, and a minimum of 2 years of Labor and Delivery/Perinatal experience in a high-volume delivery service.
- Additional Information: The unit features 20 labor and delivery suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 mother-baby couplet rooms, and 14 monitored ante-partum rooms. The facility performs over 500 deliveries per month and provides 24-hour in-house OB coverage, anesthesia, and NICU services. The unit is expanding to a new Womens Tower in mid-2026.
- Preferred Qualifications: 3-5 years of Perinatal clinical experience, a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, and advanced fetal monitoring certification.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
