Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist caring for home health patients in Alpena, MI. Provide skilled evaluation and intervention to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve activities of daily living while working in a community-based setting. This role uses Home Care Home Base for documentation and supports a productivity expectation aligned with agency standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active Michigan Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience with Home Care Home Base EMR preferred.
- Ability to meet a productivity expectation of approximately 30 points per week.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to patient homes within roughly a one-hour radius of assigned hub cities.
- Ability to complete video/Teams interview as part of the hiring process.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous home health occupational therapy experience preferred but candidates new to home health will be considered.
- Familiarity with home safety assessments, ADL training, splinting, and adaptive equipment recommendations preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift days: M-F.
- Weekend rotation: approximately 1 weekend per month (may not be necessary).
- On call: None.
- Mileage reimbursement: IRS standard mileage rate.
- Must be willing to travel within about a one-hour radius of hub cities to cover referrals.
