Description
American Traveler is seeking a travel Physical Therapist for a 13-week inpatient rehab assignment at an acute care teaching facility in Atlantis, FL, requiring at least 1 year of acute care, IP rehab, or SNF experience.
Details
- 42-bed inpatient rehab unit at a 472-bed acute care medical/surgical facility and healthcare complex specializing in cardiovascular care, neuroscience, oncology, orthopedics, bariatrics, and women's services
- Patient population includes orthopedic, cardiovascular, neurologic, and general med/surg inpatient cases
- Day shift schedule, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, 8-hour shifts
- One weekend shift per month with offsetting weekdays off; holiday rotation required
- No night shifts and no on-call requirements
- Average of 12 staff on shift, including a Director, Lead PT, 4–5 PTs, and 5–6 PTAs
- Treatment equipment includes treatment beds, exercise balls, resistance bands, treadmills, and exercise bikes
- EMR: Meditech
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in hospital acute care, IP rehab, or SNF settings required
- Active PT license required where applicable
- Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of the assignment start)
- DPT preferred
- Must have active experience within the last 6 months in the role being applied for
- No gaps in work history of 90 days or more in the past 12 months
- Strong critical thinking, time management, and patient care skills required
- US SSN and date of birth required for consideration
- Two professional references required for Florida placements
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; no local candidates will be considered
