Job Summary:
This position is located in Utica, New York, within a specialized medical-surgical unit dedicated to stroke stepdown patients. The role involves providing care for adult patients with diagnoses such as stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, dialysis, COPD, CHF, pneumonia, and pulmonary problems. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. The assignment is scheduled to start on July 13, 2026, with shift hours from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Candidates must meet specified experience and certification requirements.
Job Details:
- Location: Utica, NY
- Shift: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed)
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Required Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification, active New York license, and at least 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing with stroke stepdown expertise. Certification in EPIC electronic medical record system experience is also required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Documented travel experience in addition to clinical experience.
- Additional Information: Candidates must submit an up-to-date resume that includes 2+ years of MS with stroke stepdown experience and proof of travel experience. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission. Candidates must have a drivers license with an address matching their demographics.
