Unit Specifics:IVCU is a 18 bed unit that specializes in cardiac procedure patients. STEMI, NSTEMI, PCI’s, Groin or radial access, post Cath lab nursing care. Chest pain r/o, CHF, COPD Cardiac management, chest tubes, hi-flow and Bi-pap, Pericardiocentesis, Thoracentesis, PD, Trachs, Pacemakers, CIWA
· Number of Beds :18
· Type of equipment: IV pumps, Sara steady’s, Hiflo, Bipap, Kangroo pumps, Hoyer lift, bladder scanner
· Documentation system: Meditech Expanse
· Scheduling requirements: 3- 12hr shifts and every other weekend requirement in 4-week blocks
· Floating policy: Travelers, PRN, PT Core, FT Core
· Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift rounds/Handoff/ Personal connections
Hospital Specifics-
· Certifications: Stemi Hospital, Stroke center, Level II Trauma center
Procedures performed on unit: Post Operative Nursing Care
Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIH
