Job Summary:
The organization is seeking an Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) in Easton, Maryland. This position involves working in a fast-paced emergency department environment, providing care across all age groups. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day of orientation. The role requires flexibility to work rotating night and evening shifts.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Rotating night/evening shifts (19:00-07:30 / 15:00-03:30) with a minimum of 36 hours per week and 12-hour shift lengths.
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license for Maryland or a Compact license, BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIH (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and certification in TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course). A minimum of 2 years of emergency room experience, with experience in Epic electronic medical records system, patient ratios of 4:1, and previous charge nurse experience.
- Preferred Qualifications: Community hospital experience, Level I or II trauma experience, and travel experience.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the emergency department specialty.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-acuity setting, managing complex diagnoses including trauma, respiratory, cardiac, and behavioral health conditions. The position involves performing procedures such as intubation, chest tube management, IV therapy, and interpretation of diagnostic equipment including ABGs and 12-lead EKGs. Candidates need to meet all compliance requirements, including immunizations as scheduled.
