Interventional Cardiology Registered Nurse (RN) position available in a California-based healthcare facility. The role involves providing specialized cardiac catheterization and interventional cardiology care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details
- Location: San Francisco, California
- Schedule: 12-hour days, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Certifications: AHA Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLs) all RN positions require a California RN license and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Cardiology, or Electrophysiology (EP), with exposure to structural heart procedures such as Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) is preferred. Candidates should have previous charge experience.
- Required qualifications also include familiarity with the following skills and procedures: Antiarrhythmics, Antihypertensives, Assist with Central Line Insertion/Management, Blood Product Administration, Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Circulate Procedures, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath lab, Diagnostic Catheterizations (adult), Emergency Medications, Hypothermia protocol, IABP Placement/Removal, Infection Prevention, Interventional Cardiac Cath lab, Interventional Catheterizations, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, Left heart catheterization, Monitoring Procedural Sedation, Obtain 12 lead EKG/ECG, Pacemaker/Defibrillator lead extraction/removal, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Procedural Sedation Administration/Monitoring, Pulmonary Artery Line/Swan Ganz monitoring, Reversal agents, Right heart catheterization, Rotablator atherectomy, Sheath Removal/Monitoring, Starting and maintaining IVs, Thrombolytics, Topical Hemostasis (D-Stat, Chito-Seal, Syvek Patch), Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE), Valvuloplasty, Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose), Ventilator Management, Ventricular Assist Device Insertion, Watchman procedure.
- Other details: Must have the ability to float to other UCSF facilities as needed.
Preferred qualifications include experience with Structural Heart procedures and TAVR.
Additional Information
- Candidate must have completed required modules as applicable, which are non-billable and included in the hours worked.
- The position may require reassignments to different units or facilities within a 75+ mile radius during the assignment.
- Overview of the unit and patient populations will be provided upon hire.
