Job Summary:
The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse position is located in Reston, Virginia. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day. This role involves providing specialized care to neonatal patients in a 16-bed unit, supporting a team of approximately 35 staff members. The position requires working night shifts, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:

- Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification; 0 years of experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Skills in STABLE (Stabilization for Aterm/Preterm Patients Least Acutely (STABLE)) are preferred.

- Staffing: 5 staff per shift with a charge nurse for both day and night shifts

- EMR Systems: CPN (Child Patient Nursing) & Meditech
- Typical procedures performed: Intubation, Umbilical Line Placement, PICC placement, Lumbar Punctures, X-rays
- Dress Code: Purple scrubs
- Additional details: Full-time position requiring five weekend shifts every four weeks; no mandatory on-call.
- Float: Float rotation may be required as the unit covers Labor & Delivery and Post-partum areas as baby nurse.
