Job Summary:
The Labor and Delivery (L&D) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located in Santa Rosa, California. This role involves caring for patients undergoing childbirth and related obstetric procedures. Candidates are required to bring their valid California licensure on the first day of employment. The position requires a minimum of two years of experience in Labor and Delivery and proficiency with Epic electronic medical records. The shift is days, with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week.
Job Details:
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid California license; 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery; certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses), BLS (Basic Life Support), and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program); experience with Epic electronic medical records; recent references covering the last 1 year (6 months for CNAs).
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with high-risk deliveries, maternal and neonatal emergencies, and familiarity with perinatal standards.
- Float: Float rotation may be required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities.
- Additional Information: Candidates must be willing to work two out of the three major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. Travelers should be prepared to work in a fast-paced obstetric environment, manage a wide scope of neonatal and maternal interventions, and provide education to patients' families.
