Job Summary:
Emergency Room Nurse position in Yuma, Arizona. The role involves providing high-quality emergency care in a Level 3 trauma center with a fast-paced and diverse patient population. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Location: Yuma, Arizona
- Shift: Nights, 1845-0715, with varied start times including 7, 10, 11, 12, and 1, totaling 12 hours per shift.
- Schedule: 36 hours per week, with a minimum of 36 hours guaranteed.
- Required Qualifications: Valid license (to submit), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale); at least 2 years of emergency room experience, including trauma Level I and II experience within the past two years. Epic EMR proficiency used within the last 5 years is required.
- Preferred Qualifications: Trauma Level 3 experience, experience with EPIC EMR, and certifications such as TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) are preferred.
- Additional Information: The ER features 52 beds with 4 trauma bays, a separate triage area using ESI (Emergency Severity Index), and common diagnoses include a broad spectrum of emergency conditions. There is a dedicated CT and X-ray in the ER, and RN staff must read their own telemonitor screens with monitor tech assistance as needed.
- Float: Float rotation may be required, typically scheduled ahead of time.
