Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tucson, AZ. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to provide coordinated, patient-centered care in a home health setting. The clinician will plan, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care to help patients develop, regain, or maintain daily living skills. Responsibilities include assessing occupational performance, providing direct therapeutic interventions, fabricating and maintaining adaptive equipment and splints, documenting progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program with a Bachelor of Science, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current, active Occupational Therapist license for the state of Arizona is required to start the assignment.
- Minimum two years of experience as an Occupational Therapist in an acute care or rehabilitation setting is required.
- Current CPR certification is required.
- Current driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance are required.
- Ability to perform clinical assessments, develop and revise Plans of Care, and document progress notes and phone orders in a timely manner.
- Ability to fabricate and maintain adaptive equipment and hand splints and to perform basic maintenance, cleaning, and setup for OT equipment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and travel locally as needed.
- Must meet mandatory continuing education requirements of the licensing board.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home health care environment preferred.
- Experience assessing and treating sensory-motor, neuromuscular, psycho-social, and cognitive-perceptual impairments preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift pattern: 5x8 (five shifts per week, eight hours each).
- Work requires local travel to patient homes. Candidate must have reliable transportation and insurance.
- Ability to perform physical demands including lifting, bending, pulling, pushing, prolonged standing and walking is required.
