Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tacoma, WA. Provide skilled inpatient rehabilitation care to adults and older adults recovering from neurologic and other complex diagnoses. This role supports a 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital focused on recovery following severe injury or illness. Candidates will work within an interdisciplinary therapy department to deliver patient-centered care and functional outcomes.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Washington state Occupational Therapy license required to start assignment.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation required. Experience treating adult and older adult populations preferred.
- Demonstrated experience with common inpatient rehab diagnoses, including stroke (CVA) and neurologic conditions preferred.
- Ability to manage an average caseload consistent with inpatient rehab productivity expectations (approximately 6–7 treatments per 8-hour day).
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a dedicated inpatient rehabilitation hospital preferred.
- Familiarity with inpatient acute rehab documentation and EHR workflows preferred.
- Comfort with interdisciplinary team-based care and discharge planning preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–16:00 (typical schedule aligns with 7:00–16:00 or 8:00–16:30 flexibility described on site).
- Workweek: Monday–Friday primary schedule with one weekend day per month and one compensatory day during the week.
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Patient population: adult and older adult inpatient rehabilitation.
- Unit profile: 60-bed inpatient acute rehabilitation hospital. Typical productivity ~6.5 treatments per 8-hour day.
