Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Spokane Valley, WA. We are seeking a dedicated clinician to provide home health services that help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily living skills while working across a regional service area.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Bachelor’s degree acceptable if previously listed but Master’s is required by client.
- Active Washington State Occupational Therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience as a licensed Occupational Therapist. Home health experience is not required but clinical OT experience is expected.
- Ability to work independently in community and home settings and to travel within coverage area including Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties.
- Ability to complete evaluations, develop OT plans of care, document per agency and CMS guidelines, and communicate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience driving between patient visits and managing a case load in the field.
- Experience supervising OTAs or home health aides where permitted by state regulation.
- Comfort with scheduling flexibility, weekend rotation availability, and potential holiday coverage as needed.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–16:00 (M–F, 8 hours per day).
- Covers service area including Stevens and Pend Oreille Counties; clinician location will be determined based on need and clinician preference.
- Mileage reimbursement provided between visits from first patient to last patient.
- Schedule flexibility required to meet patient needs; may include participation in weekend rotations and observed holiday availability.

Impacting Patient Care
Provide home-based occupational therapy across a regional service area, following state practice laws and agency standards. Responsibilities include comprehensive functional evaluations, development and implementation of OT plans of care, documentation per CMS and agency policy, patient and caregiver education, interdisciplinary communication, progress notes for each visit, and timely reporting of outcomes and changes in condition. May supervise OTAs and home health aides when allowed by state regulation.
