Make a meaningful difference as a travel Occupational Therapist in Tacoma, WA. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve daily skills in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital setting. This role supports a 60-bed acute inpatient rehabilitation unit treating adult and older adult patients with common diagnoses including cerebrovascular accident and other neurologic conditions.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Active Washington state occupational therapy license required to start the assignment.
- Experience in inpatient rehabilitation required.
- BLS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross may be required.
- Experience treating adult and older adult patient populations, including CVA/neuro experience.
- Ability to manage a typical caseload of approximately 6–7 treatment sessions per 8-hour day.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in an acute inpatient rehabilitation hospital preferred.
- Familiarity with common inpatient rehab workflows and documentation systems preferred.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours typically 0800–1600 or similar (schedule generally Monday–Friday).
- Schedule primarily Monday–Friday with occasional flexing to a weekend day; one weekend day per month with a compensatory day off during the week.
- Average weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Patient population: adult and older adult inpatient rehabilitation.
