Join Jackson Therapy Partners as a travel Speech-Language Pathologist supporting a hospital in Kansas City, MO. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication and swallowing disorders across acute care and inpatient rehabilitation. This role involves bedside swallow evaluations with video assessment preferred, working within a Meditech documentation system, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a Level 1 trauma and comprehensive stroke center.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completed Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) and current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Active Missouri state SLP license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification may be required from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
- Experience performing bedside swallow evaluations. Videofluoroscopic or instrumental swallowing assessment experience preferred.
- Experience in acute care and inpatient rehabilitation settings. Experience with trauma and stroke populations preferred.
- Familiarity with TIMS equipment and Meditech documentation system preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience covering both acute care and inpatient rehab caseloads.
- Comfort floating between acute and rehab units.
- Experience working in a Level 1 trauma or comprehensive stroke center.
Assignment Details
- Shift hours: 08:00–17:00.
- Schedule: Monday through Friday with rotating weekends preferred but flexible.
- Floating requirement: cover both acute care and inpatient rehab units.
- Dress code: gray scrubs.
