Job Summary:
The profession of Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical Unit located in Farmington, New Mexico. This role involves providing high-quality patient care in a Medical Unit setting, supporting a diverse patient population including adults aged 18 and older. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of assignment.
Job Details:
- Location: Farmington, New Mexico
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM 7:00 PM, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association; at least 1 year of experience, with 2 years preferred; education requirement includes an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Specialty: Medical Surgical with Telemetry (MS TELE)
- Unit Information:
- Type: Medical Unit
- Number of Beds: 43
- Patient Ratios: 1:5 and 1:6
- Equipment: VS machine, bladder scanner, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, tube feeding pumps
- EMR System: Cerner
- Supervisor: Manager Vickie Bessey; Assistant Manager Allison Herrera
- Patient Population: Adults aged 18 years and older, including geriatric patients
- Skills and Experience:
- Preferred: Med/surg experience; charge nurse experience; oncology skills (helpful but not necessary)
- Additional Notes: Block scheduling may be considered on a case-by-case basis; candidates must meet area-specific competency exam, skills checklist, and screening questions with at least a 3.2 overall rating on the skills checklist
