Job Summary: Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) Idaho Falls, ID. The organization is seeking an ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide critical care for patients in a 29-bed unit. Responsibilities include managing ventilated patients, interpreting arterial blood gases, titrating vasoactive infusions, and supporting hemodynamic monitoring. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Nights 12-hour shifts; minimum 36 hours per week; 3 shifts per week with an every other weekend requirement.
- Required Qualifications: Current RN license; ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support); BLS (Basic Life Support). Vent management and ABG interpretation skills, along with experience performing vasoactive drip titration and hemodynamic monitoring.
- Preferred Qualifications: TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course), NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale), and ABLS are welcomed.
- Clinical Responsibilities: Vent management; ABG interpretation; vasoactive drip titration; hemodynamic monitoring.
- Procedures Performed on Unit: Intubations; central line placement; bronchoscopies; bedside tracheostomy and PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) tube placement.
- Float Expectations: Float may be required (travelers float first ED and step down).
- On-Call Expectations: Only when census drops; otherwise, no call.
- Dress Code: Navy blue scrubs are required.
- Additional Information: ICU experience support includes a mix of patient ratios (1:1, 1:2 occasionally 1:3 with patients ready to leave ICU). Equipment may include Aleris pumps, GE monitors, Edwards EV 1000 and CCO, primaflex CRRT, and cardiohelp ECMO.
- Licensure/Document Requirements: Candidates must bring their license on the first day.
