This position is for a Critical Care Nurse specializing in Intensive Care Unit Cardiovascular (ICU OH) at a healthcare facility in Nashville, Tennessee. The role involves providing high-acuity, rapid-response care to critically ill patients, including those undergoing cardiac surgery, cardiac transplant, and other severe cardiovascular conditions. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification, Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification, National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), successful completion of a proctored rhythm test
- Schedule: Nights; 12 hours shift; minimum 36 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, NIHSS Certification, successful rhythm test completion, 0 years of experience preferred
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a cardiac ICU environment preferred
- Unit Description:
- Unit Capacity: 15 Beds
- Population Served: Patients with diagnoses including Cardiac Surgery, Cardiac Transplant, Myocardial Infarction, Congestive Heart Failure, Cardiogenic Shock, Cardiomyopathy, Arrhythmias, Post Cardiopulmonary Arrest, Post Ventricular Assist Device Placement
- Ages of Patients Served: Adolescent through Late Adult (14 - 60+)
- Nurse to Patient Ratios: 1:2
- Core Staffing Plan: Typically 1 RN to 2 patients, with staff including Registered Nurses and Patient Care Technicians
- Additional Information: The role involves caring for critically ill patients with complex cardiovascular conditions, including post-surgical and emergency situations, with a focus on rapid assessment and intervention.
