WCS Healthcare is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join a high‑performing L&D team at a respected hospital in Massachusetts. The ideal clinician is confident in fetal monitoring, labor management, emergency response, and supporting providers throughout the childbirth process.
Job Function:
- Shifts:36hr Rotating Day/Night (7a-7:30p or 7:15p-7:15a)- rotating is based on needs of the unit and not guaranteed, every other weekend and rotating holidays
- Assess and categorize patients into the appropriate level of care
- Apply and interpret external fetal monitoring, including fetal heart tracings and uterine activity
- Implement timely interventions based on fetal heart rate patterns and maternal condition
- Identify and respond to obstetric emergencies, escalating to providers appropriately
- Administer medications safely in accordance with the Five Rights and infection‑control standards
- Perform pain assessments and reassess per clinical guidelines
- Assist physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care
Job Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license for the state that you are working in (or willingness to obtain)
- Labor and Delivery experience is required.
- 2 years of acute care experience in this specialty
- BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications from the American Heart Association
- Fetal Monitoring Certificate Preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
