Description
American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of experience for a 13-week acute care contract, working nights on a Canon 16/64-slice scanner.
Details
- Acute care hospital CT department with 1 scanner/room
- Canon 16-slice and 64-slice CT equipment
- Average of 65 scans/studies per day
- Common studies include brain, abdomen, pelvis, spine, extremities, angiography, biopsies, drainage procedures, and cryoablation
- IR nurse handles IV starts as needed
- Radiologist is on-site
- Charting system: Cerner; PACS: Radnet and Merge Unity
- 12-hour night shifts, Friday through Sunday, 12:00 PM – 12:30 AM
- Every other weekend schedule
- First to float; may be floated to a sister facility approximately 6.5 miles away
- On-call required with a 30-minute response time
- 1 major and 1 minor holiday coverage required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
- Active BLS certification required
- ARRT (CT) certification required
- California CTI (Computed Tomography Imaging) certificate required
- Active state license required if applicable — pending licenses will not be accepted
- Active certifications required at time of consideration — pending certifications will not be accepted
- Driver's license required for consideration
- 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, both including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire
Additional Information
- Perform a wide range of CT imaging studies including neurological, abdominal, vascular, musculoskeletal, and interventional procedures such as biopsies and cryoablation
- Department is led by a Lead Tech with an on-site radiologist; RRAs are not used
- Manager interview required
- 12-hour orientation
- Teal scrubs required; scrubs are not provided
- Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered
